The Role:

Business Management is a unique blend of accounting, financial operations, and client service. Our professionals help clients manage their day-to-day financial affairs, make informed financial decisions, and work toward their long-term financial goals.

We are seeking Summer 2027 Business Management Interns to gain hands-on exposure to the accounting and financial operations that support our clients’ day-to-day financial affairs. Interns will have the opportunity to learn from experienced professionals, develop foundational accounting and client service skills, and gain a unique perspective on the entertainment business in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Duration: June 2027 – August 2027 (must be able to participate in a minimum of 8+ weeks of the internship program)

What You Will Do:

Our Summer Business Management Internship Program includes touchpoints with several of our lead partners across the Firm’s various service lines, sharing their wisdom about starting a career in a Business Management role, serving the entertainment industry and beyond. We also offer career planning, resume building workshops, business etiquette and professional development presentations, team projects, and philanthropic initiatives.

The program is engineered to show you what it’s like to work at NKSFB as an entry-level assistant account executive. Here are some of the many things you will do as a 2027 summer business management intern:

  • Support the day-to-day financial operations of entertainers, athletes, executives, entrepreneurs, and other high-net-worth clients.
  • Assist with accounting, expense management, reconciliations, and other client financial activities.
  • Participate in financial analysis and special projects while developing analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Learn how business managers help clients navigate complex financial matters across entertainment, sports, business, and beyond.
  • Collaborate with experienced accounting and business management professionals in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

What You Need To Succeed:

  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Self-motivated with excellent organization skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are a must.
  • Attention to detail and ability to multi-task is an asset.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Friendly and professional demeanor.
  • Ability to work well with a team and pitch in when needed.

Educational Preferences:

  • Anticipated graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028.
  • Pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related business discipline.
  • On track to meet CPA licensing educational requirements upon graduation is a plus, but not required.
  • Completion of introductory Financial Accounting and Managerial Accounting coursework.
  • Completion of Intermediate Accounting coursework is a plus, but not required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Standing, walking, crouching, and regular lifting up to 15 pounds.
  • Frequent use of hands and reaching with hands and arms.
  • Regularly talking, hearing, seeing, and sitting.
  • Moderate to loud noise level.
  • Risk of electrical shock.

Salary Range:

The salary range for this role is $24/hr. – $26/hr. and represents the firm’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of compensation at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant experience, qualifications, and location.
