John Tymick joined the Firm in 1997 and brings extensive expertise in the entertainment industry. Over the course of his career, he has conducted hundreds of compliance audits for major entertainment clients, covering areas such as profit participation, residuals, payroll compliance, merchandising, and royalty investigations. In addition, John has provided litigation support, due diligence, internal control analysis, and workout arrangement services. He has also been retained as an expert witness for his work in residuals.

John’s focus is Audit, with specialization in:

• Motion picture and television participation audits
• Production cost inspections
• Forensic and compliance accounting
• Litigation support services

He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Economics with an emphasis in Accounting from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and has been a Certified Public Accountant since 2003. John is also an active member of the California Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Outside of work, John enjoys spending time with his family. He and his wife, Maria, live in Torrance with their two children—a son who plays baseball for Long Beach State University’s Dirtbags and a daughter who attends South Torrance High School. An avid outdoors enthusiast, John enjoys hiking with his dogs, mountain biking, beach volleyball, and virtually any activity that allows him to be active with his family.
