Our Incredible Summer Celebrations
September 13, 2022

After a two year hiatus due to the pandemic, the Firm renewed its Summer Event tradition. In California we enjoyed an amazing day at Universal Studios while in New York we gathered for a thrilling Mets-Yankees baseball game.
On August 14th, 1,200 partners, staff and family joined together to enjoy the festivities at Universal. I cannot help but smile as I remember the incredible lunch buffet, the “mummy wrapping” contest, the hula hoop competition and so much more. Despite the heat, we lined up to enjoy Jurassic World, Harry Potter and the Universal Studios Tour. From arrival to departure, a good time was had by all.
On July 27th, 108 East Coast participants saw the Mets edge out the Yankees 3-2 in dramatic fashion at Citi Field. Fans for both teams had much to cheer about. The Yankees trailed for much of the game before tying the score in the 8th inning. For the Mets, Max Scherzer pitched 7 magnificent scoreless innings, first baseman Pete Alonso smashed a homer and Starling Marte “walked off” the win. Despite the presence of more Yankees supports, the entire NKSFB team had a great time.
Special thanks, in California, to (in alphabetical order) Chelsea, Julia, Taylor, Ujima, Valerie and Virginia. In New York, to Joe and Katie, for their contributions to making these days so special. We cannot wait to see what next year brings.
