Interior of NKSFB Encino office

Breaking Ground in Encino: A Thanksgiving Like None Other

April 1, 2021 / Eric Diamond, COO

Thanksgiving involves different things to different people: gathering with family and friends; eating turkey; watching or playing football; enjoying time off from work; and many more. This past year included something extra – NKSFB’s multi-office relocation to the new Encino, California, office. For anyone involved, completing the move was a time to give thanks.

The idea of a move to a new office began with the creation of our current firm. Between 2018 and 2020, the GSO Business Management, David Weise & Associates and Neuman + Associates firms joined NKSFB. These firms included more than 200 partners and staff operating from three offices on Ventura Boulevard, all within two miles of each other. Two additional satellite offices added to the mix. To take advantage of our increased size and achieve the available economies of scale, the Firm identified, designed and built a new home for its San Fernando Valley operations.

Over a 10-day period, we vacated three offices, totaling 44,000 sq. ft. and moved into a new office containing 58,0000 sq. ft.  Dozens of IT and Office Service staff supported by more than 20 movers were involved. Hundreds of computers were reprogrammed, 4 kitchens were outfitted, and 11 conference rooms were configured. Countless boxes and an ocean of packing tape were needed.

Our new, state-of-the-art office accommodates nearly 300 business management and tax professionals supported by a dedicated team of administrative staff. The single floor configuration is organized into a series of “neighborhoods” with conveniently located kitchens, conference rooms and office services nodes. “White noise” sound masking and adaptive LED lighting further enhance the in-office experience.

With a 10-year lease and room for significant expansion, the Encino office will serve our firm for many years.
